CHURCH OFFICE MANAGER POSTION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the Church Office.  The Office Manager must maintain a welcoming and helpful environment to assist the Senior Pastor, ministries of the church, members, and the community. Candidates must be detail-oriented, organized, good at multitasking, able to prioritize, self-motivated, and able to work well with others.  Hours: 20 hours/week Tues-Fri.  This is a temporary position, and hours are subject to change.  A detailed job description may be requested fofmbc@bellsouth.net

  • 4 years of prior office management experience, preferably in a large church or non-profit organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and foster teamwork
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and across generations
  • Some previous experience managing employees/volunteers, scheduling, and experience training & coordinating volunteers
  • Technology: Familiar with operating PC’s; Competency with database software, websites, and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Education: 4-year Bachelor’s degree in any field preferred, and 4 years of administrative office experience
